Mission Statement of DDRI
Distinguished Dobermans Rescue, Inc. (D.D.R.I.) is a non-profit, charitable organization whose primary mission is to give abandoned Dobermans a second chance at finding a loving, safe and suitable forever homes. We also educate potential adopters, as well as the general public, about the Doberman breed, Doberman myths, the importance of spaying/neutering, puppy mill awareness and the benefits of training classes. We do this in an attempt to decrease the amount of unwanted Dobermans. Our Dobermans come us from shelters or are turned over to us by their owners who are no longer able or willing to care for them. Prior to placement, each Doberman’s temperament is evaluated to the best of our ability, they are spayed/neutered, heart worm tested and treated if necessary, vaccinated and taught basic obedience and manners. We attempt to create the best match between Doberman and adoptive home based on our evaluations. Our organization also networks with several other rescues and shelters. We will always assist other organizations when possible. |
