Surrendering Your Doberman If there is any way at all for you to keep your Doberman as a member of your family, we urge you to do that. Please visit the very informative site listed below. It has many helpful suggestions. We can also recommend trainers and/or training facilities if necessary. We want to help if we can. But, if you must surrender your Doberman... We do understand sometimes there are situation beyond our control and it makes it impossible to keep our beloved pets. We want to help and do not want your Doberman to end up in a shelter or in the wrong hands. We do accept owned Dobermans into our program. We ask that your dog is current on vaccines and altered or that you make a donation to off set the vetting costs for us. This is not a requirement, but it is appreciated since we are a non-profit organization. We *WILL NOT* accept any aggressive dogs into our rescue. Please do not ask! This applies to human aggression, any type of fear aggression and dog aggression. If your Doberman is dog aggressive we can offer assistance in finding another rescue that may be able to help you. You will be required to complete an owner surrender form and supply records from your current veterinarian. If we can not take your dog into our rescue, we can list it on our web site as a courtesy listing. We will direct all inquiries to you. To be listed on our site as a courtesy listing, your dog must be current on vaccines and altered. Email sszyklinski@comcast.net regarding the Doberman you wish to surrender. |
